How many years is the Marshall Scholarship?
There are basically two types of Marshall Scholarship with two different duration of time for the scholarship.
The first one is of 1 academic year which means students shortlisted for this will get scholarship money for 12 months which for any reason cannot be extended. The scholarship money includes University fees, living expenses in the United Kingdom, expenses for buying books for study, expenses of conducting various research works during the academic period, daily travel expenses, the cost to travel from the United States of America to the United Kingdom and from the United Kingdom to the United States of America.
The second one is of two academic years which means the students shortlisted for this will get the scholarship money for 22 months which can be extended to 3 years or 36 months by the commission because of strong academic reasons. The scholarship money includes University fees, living expenses in the United Kingdom, expenses for buying books for study, expenses of conducting various research works during the academic period, daily travel expenses, expenses to travel from the United States of America to the United Kingdom and from the United Kingdom to the United States of America. In addition, the students under this scholarship can get 3-year scholarship from Oxford University for the students who are doing a doctorate at Oxford University under this scholarship and also students doing a doctorate at Cambridge University under this scholarship can get 3-year scholarship from Cambridge University.
